Bonding is a technique where resin composite is chemically bonded to enamel. Resin composites have been improved in recent years to look very natural and blend seamlessly with the tooth. Bonding can be used to fill gaps, repair broken teeth or even change the color of teeth. The main advantages of bonding over veneers is no tooth structure must be removed to bond composite to enamel and that the cost is usually 50% that of a porcelain veneer.
